Addams Family Values (1993)
The perfect casting gives the characters every chance of success. These films are made so that Christopher Lloyd can do his thing but in this case he'd be looking over his shoulder at young Ricci doing hers. The script has some terrific put downers.
X-Men Origins: Wolverine (2009)
Hollars, The (2016)
Margo Martindale and Richard Jenkins are a spot on casting and make it watchable.
Recruit, The (2003)
Watchable with the expected ingredients including the love interest to pad things out.
Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas (1998)
It must have been a difficult novel to bring to the screen and it shows in the uneven screenplay. Although its far from his best because it is a Terry Gilliam film it is never boring.
When in Rome (2010)
Pure froth but inoffensive – I would think the cast enjoyed making it.
American Gangster (2007)
The story is not very complicated and shouldn't have taken so long to tell. Losing an hour would have been beneficial.
Malcolm X (1993)
Because of its extraordinary length it wouldn't matter if you popped out and missed twenty minutes or so now and again. The set designs and wardrobe are of a very high standard and the oratory scenes are well handled.
Entity, The (1981)
A standard paranormal adventure which isn't helped by its running time even though Barbara H stars.
Informant!, The (2009)
It is not great but it has a good script and there is some freshness in the screenplay.
