Pink Floyd - Pulse (1994)
A great light show and the music is not too bad.
A Date for Mad Mary (2016)
Mary's life is in a mess – it is a well performed drama with lead actress Seána Kerslake spot on.
Zero Days (2016)
The film throws a lot of information at you in a short space of time and a second viewing will be helpful but the conclusions drawn are impressive.
Super Sucker (2002)
Had some early promise as a comedy but everything gets a bit too silly to be funny.
Idiocracy (2006)
If features different levels of humour and some of it is good. The plot idea makes it watchable.
Cool Hand Luke (1967)
Newman is fine but is helped by a terrific supporting cast (prisoners & wardens). The action is sweaty but there are times when it goes overboard & loses effectiveness – indeed it has trouble ending the whole exercise & runs out of steam (sweat).
Blade (1998)
Starts off great then this Snipes character comes along and kills off the vampires and its all down hill from there. Dorff is fine but when you have a legend in Udo Kier who barely appears it makes you think that they got the casting wrong.
Theatre of Death / Rasputin - The Mad Monk (1966-1973)
Theatre of Death: Not great but a low budget effort that is better than a lot of bigger budget horrors.
Jackie (2016)
I couldn't always make out what Natalie was saying but it seemed to be one of her better performances. Making a film about someone's real life trauma seems a bit tasteless and mercantile.
Sleeping Dogs Lie (2006)
I thought the male was a bit of a drip but there was at least an attempt in the screenplay to break the mold. Another plus is that it is not too long and doesn't overstay its welcome.
