Parenthood (1989): Parts of it are okay but nothing really takes off – as a comedy it is pretty weak.
Others, The (2001): Nicole plays Nicole which is okay but is outstaged by Fionnula Flanagan who is so effective in her role. The screenplay is familiar territory but because it treats most things in a low key manner it is more effective for doing so. The house is a winner.
D-Day - The Sixth of June (1956): Good production values and it hasn't dated too badly 60 years on. Dana Wynter is fine but the unnecessary compulsory romantic bits sidetrack the invasion.
It Started in Naples (1960): Even though this kid is in every scene you can still enjoy it as a travelogue.
Aliens of the Deep (2005): Humans invade the wonders of the Deep."Aliens in the Deep" would be a more appropriate title.
Light Between Oceans, The (2016): Slowly paced and maybe correctly so for the period setting but it gives you more time to take in the well photographed gorgeous New Zealand scenery.
Infiltrator, The (2016): It is an okay watch but it doesn't stand out from others in the genre.
Unstoppable (2010): Exciting railroad action but the suspense is eased somewhat in knowing that Denzel is keeping an eye on things.
Road to Wellville (1994): The screenplay is a bit of a misfire but the set designs and wardrobe are top notch.
From Russia with Love (1963): Along with the other early films it sets the standard and basis for a very successful franchise. Robert Shaw is a very good naughty.
