Mirrors (2008): The plot idea is good but the film makers don't get the most out of it.
Seven Pounds (2008): It is always good to have Rosario Dawson on board but the film didn't need her character to get bogged down in a romantic sideshow. Smith is too lightweight to carry two hours and three pounds would have been more than enough.
After Dark, My Sweet (1991): The three lead performances are very good, there are some fine desert shooting locations but the screenplay doesn't fulfill its early promise.
Four Feathers, The (2002): Throughout the production values are very good. The early part of the screenplay is the best – there are some good bits in what follows but it runs out of steam and has difficulty in finding an ending.
Tuxedo, The (2002): It is a vehicle for some of Jackie's talents – the rest is padding.

Haunted World of El Superbeasto, The (2009): Its garishness has a certain appeal but 77 minutes is a little bit long.; Blu-Ray $39.95
Legend Of Zorro, The (2005): A hero film needs an effective villain to offset the mush. Benicio Del Toro comes to mind in this case.
Beauty and the Beast (1991): It is all about the ability to bring the characters (and other things) to life.
Mao's Last Dancer (2009): A patchy screenplay is helped through by the dancing segments. The final scenes are soppy.
