Middle School: The Worst Years of My Life (2016): The animated segments were fine.
Texas Chainsaw Massacre, The (2003): It has a hard act to follow and may try a bit too hard to shock. Having R. Lee Ermey on board helps however.
Birth of a Nation, The (2016): It follows formula and it doesn't really bring out enough that is new to warrant a two hour dramatisation.
Guardians of the Galaxy 2 (Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2) (2017): Entertaining but it depends a lot on its good visuals.
Ulzana's Raid (1972): Competent and intelligent.
Every Which Way But Loose (1978): It is uneven but there are some good segments around Geoffrey Lewis and Ruth Gordon (in her 80's) and the bikie gang.
Norbit (2007): Thandie keeps her composure and a stiff upper lip.
Sister Act (1992)
Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children (2016): The ingredients are there – Director, screenplay, special effects and a fine adult cast but it is all a bit flat.
Repo Man (1984): It makes its own rules and doesn't follow any formula. You can't see it dating and will continue to have a cult following.
