An interesting screenplay which makes you want to find out a bit more about the research they were undertaking. Jeremy Irons is as solid as a rock and the period set designs and wardrobe spot on.
Brosnan is one of the better Bonds & the script has its lighter moments which is one of the ingredients on which the franchise had built its success – for e.g. the Q & M segments. The quality support includes Joe Don Baker & Gottfried John.
It is a good plot idea but one which is not successfully carried off. Although this is surprising considering the talent of the cast they do portray characters who at the end of the day you really don't care what happens to them.
The production values are quality and there is an attractive cast in Cooper and Bridges. The racing scenes are very well done but the whole thing is too long.
