Mannequin (1987)
The comedy is light but not a waste of time as the plot has some freshness to it and there are some good oddball segments.
Illusionist, The (2010)
The animation is incredible and there is a painstaking attention to detail with both the interior and exterior set designs. The icing on the cake is the visual humour which is refreshingly gentle and not in your face.
Hot Fuzz (2007)
Pegg,Frost & Broadbent make a great team in this well written parody. There is also a wealth of talent in the support cast. The action climax is very long & can be forgiven for going over the top because of the quality of what had gone on before.
Step Up 2: The Streets (2008)
Just be patient with the padding and wait for the dancing – (that rhymes).
Last Days in the Desert (2015)- The screenplay doesn't set things alight but Ciarán Hinds, the photography and the music score make it worthwhile.
Zipper (2015)- Anyone who cheats on Lena Headey deserves their comeuppance and their head read.
Breakheart Pass (1975)- The screenplay weakens out but for the most part is helped by a very good and experienced support cast. The beautiful winter locations also assist.
Legal Eagles (1986)- A charming cast makes it hard to dislike.
Juror, The (1996)- Demi does well and leads a more than useful cast but the screenplay is pretty predictable.
Days of Thunder (1990)- It is not as bad as it looks thanks mainly to Randy Quaid and Robert Duvall plus a driving soundtrack. The romantic sub plot was silly and hardly a necessary part of the plot.
