Spookers (2017): The back story about the Kingseat Psychiatric Hospital was unfortunately too brief but the coverage of the Scream Park was entertaining and not too long.
Pet (2016): Pets have been kept before.
Life (2017): The special effects, in particular, the creatures are well done but it is all pretty predictable and familiar.
Le Quattro Volte (2010): It is a "story" that gradually grows on you. Some beautiful serene sequences interspersed with whatever noise inquisitive goats make.
Four Lions (2010): The screenplay weakens a bit toward the end but it takes the piss wonderfully well. Let us hope Hollywood doesn't remake it – if they do blood could spill from the fallout.
Carnival of Souls (1962)
Uninvited, The (2009): It over relies on noisy sound effects. The screenplay is okay but its type has been done a few times before.
Carrie (1976): Forty years on and it has lost some of its impacts but it maintains a curiosity value.
Bourne Identity, The (2002): It is based on a good screenplay and is competently made. Franke gives strength to the female sidekick role.
Tommy's Honour (2016): Excellent period production values. Although it is about golf there is enough interest in the screenplay to make it watchable.
