Matrix, TheMatrix, The (1999)Recommended
2 stars (Good Try) Too many noisy action sequences detract from the sci–fi. The terrific casting of Hugo Weaving helps as do the special effects.
Siege of the Saxons (1963)
2 stars (Good Try) Entertaining. Loved the modern hairdos of the lead characters.
Deal, TheDeal, The (2008)
2 stars (Good Try) The two leads are fine but the material is not the strongest and certainly not for 100 minutes.
6 Days6 Days (Six Days) (2017)
2 stars (Good Try) Although it is another hostage film there is a good cast to help things along.
Ghost in the ShellGhost in the Shell (2017)
2 stars (Good Try) The highlight was the special effects.
Julius CaesarJulius Caesar (1953)
3 stars (Good Enough) Brando overdoes it a bit but there are others in this classy cast headed by James Mason to fall back on. A good telling of the tale.
FebruaryFebruary (The Blackcoat's Daughter) (2015)
2 stars (Good Try) Much of it has been done before but it does create an atmosphere helped by the lack of lighting.
Ever AfterEver After (1998)
3 stars (Good Enough) Although there is a strong supporting cast headed by Anjelica Huston it is Drew that makes this so so screenplay watchable.
Girl Next Door, TheGirl Next Door, The (2003)
2 stars (Good Try) The material is light.
At Close RangeAt Close Range (1985)
2 stars (Good Try) Walken is a level above everyone else and provides the watchability factor.
Blu-Ray $34.95
