Belko Experiment, The (2016): The cries of anguish and the hysterics made it hard viewing.
I Smile Back (2015): Solid and nothing flashy in both screenplay and performances.
Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales (2017): Continues the successful formula. Good special effects and the make–up team do a good job. The action seems continuous.
Only Angels Have Wings (1939): Its okay except its a bit long and dated 80 years on.; DVD ~~$15~~ $11.25
Apollo 13 (1995): It goes on forever – because the outcome is well known there is no suspense. The special effects are the only highlight as the script is crappy at times and the soundtrack makes you cringe.; DVD ~~$20~~ $15
Net, The (1995): The screenplay lacks freshness.
Rachel Getting Married (2008): A talkie but it has a good female cast.
Toys (1993): It is hard to dislike even if at times it plays like a misfire. In its favour is that it is original and should, therefore, stand up to repeated viewings. Visually attractive but it could have been a tad shorter.
Posse (1993): It looks like its made a special effort to be violent. Less would have had more effect.
Graduate, The (1967): Hoffman's character soon begins to irritate but there is Anne Bancroft in classy form to compensate. There is one memorable line in the script from a character who works in plastics – "there is a great future in plastics". One of the better soundtracks
