Final Portrait (2017): The material seems a bit stretched to fulfill its running time but the performances see it through.
Cloverfield (2008): The special effects make up somewhat for the cheap and annoying photography.
Dries (2017): Another documentary about fashion but this chap seems closer to the ground than the others.
Mountain Between Us, The (2017): There is some scenery but not a great deal else.
Cop Car (2015): An okay watch that has its moments.
President's Analyst, The (1967): It is hampered by an uneven screenplay.
Mother! (mother!) (2017): Found it hard to follow what was going on through the barrage of noise and the dark "lighting".
Adult Life Skills (2016): Bittersweet. The sweet segments are top notch – the script, the characters, the performances – it is a hard act to follow for the more serious segments later on but it ends on a high note.
Journey, The (2016): With a casting of Spall, Meaney and Hurt it is a sure winner and they do justice to an intelligent screenplay.
Menashe (2017): The screenplay and performances are low key and effective.
