Finding Your Feet (2017): Unfortunately, it gets a bit soppy at times but overall it is saved by some good comedy from a terrific cast.
Girls Trip (2017): The trip has been taken before but it hasn't taken this long.
Planetarium (2016): The screenplay threatened to take off a couple of times but the period production values were good.
Daughters of Darkness (Le Rouge aux Levres) (1971): The Countess character is well done and maybe too well done because the rest in comparison don't amount to much. The plot idea is fine but the screenplay has loose ends and the musical score is only average.
Dark Horse (2011): This is an offbeat comedy that works but it could just as easily have gone the other way over that fine line.
Basketball Diaries, The (1995): It has a good anti–drug message but it is not as strong in impact as it was when the film was first released.
Exception, The (2016): A passable drama with very good production values.
Emperor's New Clothes, The (1987): The musical side is a bit ordinary but the tale–telling is good light entertainment.
Rampage (1988): There is always something in the screenplay to maintain your interest. The nutter is convincing.
Transsiberian (2008): It promises to take off at various stages but the end result is disappointing.
