Star Wars - The Clone Wars (2008)
For completists.
Midnight Oil 1984 (2018)
It has taken a while to surface but worth the wait.
Valentine's Day (2010)
It is long and light.
Incredible Mrs Ritchie, The (2003)
The two veterans are fine but the screenplay doesn't take off.
Wild Guitar (1962)
It has some curiosity value and it doesn't overstay its welcome.
Wolfpack, The (2015)
It was of minor interest only.
Howl (2010)
The animated sequences were a good idea and helped explain some of the verbals. The courtroom scenes were the other highlight with Bob Balaban, David Strathairn and Jon Hamm working well off each other.
Selfish Giant, The (2013)
It sits alongside the Director's "The Arbor" (2010) very well and also rates highly for warts and all realism. Whilst the two young 'uns take centre stage you have to spare a thought for the teachers but above all feel for the two mothers.
Deep Blue Sea (1999)
The jaw munching segments are better than average.
Closing the Ring (2007)
Shoots itself in the foot by being too long. The screenplay is uneven but is helped out by the two classy leads but it really works best when the supports Postlethwaite and Fricker are on camera.
