In Plain Sight (TV Mini-series) (2016): The story is told competently and the screenplay keeps the dramatics under control as far as it can.
Hoop Dreams (1994): A bit long for a non basketball fan but as a documentary it is commendable.; DVD ~~$19.95~~ $14.95
Memoria (2021): I bet Tilda was the first one thought of and probably was the first in line when this was cast.; DVD $29.95
Always (1989): An average screenplay but even though they have done much better elsewhere Goodman and Hunter are on the always watch list.
Schindler's List (1993): A good production but far too long because it often repeats itself – particularly the war crimes aspect. The ending is never ending and is melodramatic Hollywood at times and should have been pruned. The bonus feature "Voices From the List" is excellent
Calamity Jane (1953): There are some decent songs and the padding in between is entertaining thanks to an energetic Doris Day.
Black Phone, The (2022): The screenplay has borrowed from others and there is some unnecessary distasteful violence.
Jimi Hendrix (A Film About Jimi Hendrix) (1973): Made in 1973 when memories of those who knew him were still fresh.
Risk (2016): Although much of the material used in the documentary is familiar and there are no earth shattering revelations, and no matter what your opinion of Assange is, the world of leaked information is inherently interesting.
Queen of Versailles, The (2012): Overall it is an entertaining documentary. She is hard to dislike and he at least has the courage to admit that he was instrumental in getting the younger Bush into the White House.
