Monkey Bone (2001): Brendan overdoes it a bit. The makeup of the rest of the "characters" ensures that it is never boring.
Monster (Kaibutsu) (2023): It told the story in a roundabout way but it got there in the end.; DVD $29.95
Our Little Sister (Umimachi Diary) (2015): A commercial offering but the four sisters' interactions and the photography make it hard to dislike.
Foxy Brown (1974): There is a great first scene featuring Antonio Fargas but from then on move over males it is Pam Grier v Kathryn Loder.
Private's Progress (1956): Great casting, not just Ian Carmichael in the lead, but Terry Thomas heading an excellent supporting cast.
Tiger's Tail, The (2006): An interesting concept but it could have been portrayed a little better. A more than useful Irish cast though.
Magdalene Sisters, The (2002): When first released the film would have had more shock value than it does 20 years on when stories of institutional abuse have become more common place.; Poster (VG) $14.95

Big Fish (2003): A series of well told tales assisted by some good casting. The Buscemi segment, the best.
Grampire (Moonrise) (1991): The distinctive Al Lewis is the only real interest. The screeching of the kids is hard work.
