Fear in the Night (1972)
Okay, but it doesn't really have anything new to offer.
Transformers: The Last Knight (2017)
Why does it have to be so long? – it is repeating special effects already seen earlier in the franchise – although these remain very good it must be challenging the appetite even of its fans.
American Pastoral (2016)
The screenplay is uneven and at times untidy. Jennifer Connelly's performance is the highlight.
Tombstone (1993)
In two hours the screenplay doesn't go very far – appropriately it more or less stays in Tombstone.
Endless, The (2017)
It didn't maintain my attention first time around but as it has good reviews I will try again.
Wonder (2017)
The screenplay is a bit predictable.
Ginger & Rosa (Ginger and Rosa) (2012)
Based in the days of corduroys & duffel coats & a little thing called the BOMB. Elle Fanning is outstanding. The supporting cast is quality. The family bust–up scene is well written, correctly played out & avoids the traps.
Valhalla Rising (2009)
For an hour and a half the tension is unrelenting, perhaps only relieved a touch by some gorgeous location shooting, but even then you are sneaking a look behind.
Hitchcock (2012)
The production values are quality. Hopkins does a remarkable job on his posture and voice and the make up people do the rest. A wonderful cutting performance from Helen Mirren adds value.
Commuter, The (2018)
Above average escapism thanks mainly to Liam Neeson for making even the silly bits work. There is one scene of genuine suspense and overall it is entertaining and worth a look.
