American Way, The (Riders of the Storm) (1986): The plot idea is probably timeless. Hopper and Pollard together are worth the price of admission and overall it is hard to dislike.
Scarlet Letter, The (1995): The casting and production values are very good but the screenplay is slow – they must have had mail problems back then too.
Murder On Flight 502 (1975): Serviceable drama with a serviceable cast.
Chappaquiddick (2017): As far as dramatisations of true events go this one does a serviceable job sticking to the main issues and not being sidetracked by subplots for commercial reasons. File under "Crime".
Get to Know Your Rabbit (1972): Bit of an oddball that doesn't quite follow through on the promising early scenes but it is worth the watch.
Crooked House (2017): The screenplay wasn't engaging but the wardrobe and set design teams did a good job.
Funny Games (1997): Seen this two or three times now without liking it but I suppose that is a credit to the filmmaker.
71 Fragments of a Chronology of Chance (1994): No fragment is surprising – that even senseless killings are part of life today. The fragments about the adopted girl & the immigrant boy, however, do test the emotions (plus looking at Michael Jackson's face) even if the killings do not.
Benny's Video (1992): An original screenplay is its strength – it also carries a message.
Blindspot (TV Series) (2015): Series 1: It is very long.
