In the Fade (2017)
Well done to Diane Kruger who is on camera most of the film. The backbone to the screenplay is a courtroom battle which is extremely well done and is dominated by a strong performance from Johannes Krisch as the defense attorney.
White Noise (2005)
Shooting Livien (2005)
As a drama, it is pretty ordinary but the musical segments are worthy.
I Am Not Your Negro (2016)
Mr. Baldwin is able to think on his feet, articulate extremely well and to do so without malice.
Medallion, The (2003)
There are occasional flashes of the Chan talent.
New York, I Love You (2009)
Didn't see much of working–class New York. The only segment I cared for was the one with the old stagers Cloris Leachman/Eli Wallach. For the most part, the script was full of romantic drivel and at times it made me cringe.
Whitney (2018)
The storytelling was a bit of a slog at times but overall it tries to reveal the facts.
Holy Rollers (2010)
The screenplay doesn't amount to much although there some good shots of New York. It is not too long which is another positive.
My Life In Ruins (2009)
It is very light in material.
Nikita (La Femme Nikita) (1990)
First two–thirds are 4* then it plays like there was a change of writer & the screenplay goes off the rails. It is not untypical for a Besson film to start strongly & weaken out. Anne P is outstanding for the most part & is well supported by TchĂ©ky Karyo.
