Hero, The (2017): Elliott droning on makes it hard work and longer than it should be.
Windtalkers (2002): The battle scenes are very good except there is a Hollywood touch to the final battle scene when the two protagonists look into each other's eyes and is worth a laugh.
Ruthless People (1986): Because of all the yelling and screeching it wasn't easy to know whether anything funny was being said.
Killer Joe (2011): The plot idea is fine but unfortunately, the screenplay goes over the top unnecessarily and loses control. Emile Hirsch impresses, however.
Splash (1984): The best comedy segments are provided by John Candy and Eugene Levy.; DVD ~~$20~~ $15
Piranha 2 - The Spawning (1981): Watchable but it lacks any real bite.
Free Fire (2017): It takes the piss out of gunfights and does so on a small budget.
Night and the City (1992): All the male hysterics and machoism got a bit wearing – will watch the 1950's version to recuperate.
Outrageous Fortune (1987): The ladies work well off each other if not a little noisily.
Hamburger Hill (1987): There is a good attempt at authenticity but the audience is liable to suffer from battle fatigue well before the end.
