RBG (2018)
Go Girl!
Honeymoon in Vegas (1992)
Cage's hysterics ruins another film.
Thank You For Smoking (2005)
It is well written and for the most part, delivered with the right amount of sarcasm thanks mainly to a good lead performance from Eckhart.
BlacKkKlansman (Black Klansman) (2018)
The screenplay is okay except it travels too much on well–trodden ground at times.
Saint Laurent (2014)
The production values are excellent, but you have to sympathise with the filmmaker, who has the task of making characters who do not have to work for a living, interesting.
Clockwatchers (1997)
It should have been better with this cast but with this cast, it is just worth it.
Mystery, Alaska (1999)
The screenplay is over–familiar but there is some attraction in the casting of Meaney, Azaria and Lolita Davidovich.
When a Man Loves a Woman (1994)
Meg's fine as usual but Garcia's hysterics fail to convince. The screenplay is another one about marriage and alcohol and it drags out to two hours.
Tokyo-Ga (1985)
Some really interesting interviews with Ozu's cinematographer and his leading actor, plus a smorgasbord of Japanese life and trains and more trains.
Ten Commandments, The (1956)
A slog with the type of screenplay that would have attracted a Monty Python remake. However, there are scenes that are still very worthy 60 years on and the wardrobe people did a great job.
