Darling Companion (2012)
The material is light but Diane makes it worth watching.
Snuff (1976)
Dead Leaves (2004)
The animation style is a bit different – it is also noisy.
I'll Sleep When I'm Dead (2003)
The screenplay is contrived at times and weakens slightly but the outside location shooting particularly early in the film is spot on. There is a strong British character actor support in Sylvia Syms, Malcolm McDowell, Ken Stott, et al.
Edie (2017)
It has too much commerciality about it but the Highland locations are a winner.
Terminal (2018)
The screenplay was a bit of a mess but trying to follow it was some incentive to keep watching.
Private Life of Sherlock Holmes, The (1970)
The casting of the two leads is excellent and they work well off each other to do justice to the legendary literary partnership. Irene Handl nips in and steals a couple of scenes.
Mary Shelley (2018)
Elle Fanning well done – another good performance which stands out from those of some drippy male characters.
Owning Mahowny (2003)
The quality cast are not really challenged by the screenplay. Hoffman looks like Hoffman and Hurt looks like Hurt but Minnie Driver doesn't look like Minnie Driver and maybe, therefore, she has the most challenging role – which she does very well.
Adventures of Barry McKenzie, The (1972)
It doesn't always work and it loses its way at times but there are some delightful anti–colonial moments.
