Wailing, The (Goksung) (2016)
The first half of the film, which is close to feature length in itself, has a good mix of comedy and suspense. After that, however, the screenplay treads a lot of water and takes a long time to find an ending.
Wrong (2012)
There is a very fine line in delivering this style of comedy whether it will work or not.
Cashback (2006)
The screenplay depends too much on a lack of taste although there are some good segments around Stuart Goodwin's character and performance.
When You're Strange: A Film About the Doors (2009)
The voice over saved time that would otherwise be spent on interviews and this ensured a better flow and a compact documentary. Overall a good relating of the events that led to the wasting of a good band.
Papillon (1973)
The early scenes during captivity are far the best – the rest of the screenplay needed to lose half an hour to allow the viewer an earlier escape.
Men in Black 2 (2002)
The special effects and make up teams do a good job.
Mr. Mom (1983)
The screenplay doesn't stand out from similar comedies but the casting is attractive enough.
Five Minutes of Heaven (2009)
An excellent compactly written screenplay – the early setup scenes are very believable. Two excellent performances – I have not seen James Nesbitt better than this.
Pianist, The (2002)
Admirable set designs but because of its familiar content, the screenplay is a bit of a slog.
Flicka (2006)
For its type, it is okay and is well produced.
