Pyewacket (2017)
There is at least some freshness within the screenplay in that it breaks a little from formula.
Raven, The (1963)
A casting of Price, Lorre and Karloff is always class and they do justice to this entertaining screenplay.
Isle of Dogs (2018)
It will able to be viewed more than once for the quality of its animation, its design or for general entertainment.
It Happened One Night (1934)- The two contrasting characters are well cast. The screenplay, for the most part, is well written but before the end, it loses its snappiness and should have found an ending earlier.
Darkest Minds, The (2018)- Not untypically the sci–fi soon gets swamped by violence. There are also kids with guns – that is all we need.
Eden (2014)- The characters are lifeless and so is the music.
Destination Wedding (2018)- A good try but it is gone and forgotten rather quickly.

Pit and the Pendulum, The (1961)- I am sure film schools point to Vincent Price as an excellent example of hammy acting. Here is one of Vincent's more delightful performances.

Mommy (2014)- A very good and uncomplicated screenplay is supplemented by timely interventions from its musical score. The three characters are far from uncomplicated however and require top performances – mission accomplished on that score.

Moonlighting (1982)- It is an interesting if at times a bit clunky screenplay. It could interest budding shoplifters but it is also a fair attempt to depict the struggle of the early days of working in a foreign country.
