American Psycho (2000)
It is still an okay watch but twenty years on you can see time catching up with it.
First Man (2018)
It is not riveting cinema but as a biopic, it does its job.
Legend of the Guardians: The Owls of Ga' Hoole (2010)
A good story with well–drawn characters.
Millennium (1989)
It is really showing its age 30 years on. The screenplay is worth a look however except when an unnecessary romantic subplot kills the action.
Art of War, The (2000)
A better than average screenplay for an actioner.
Slender Man (2018)
It holds no surprises or suspense – which defeats the whole purpose of the exercise.
No Way Home (1996)
The three lead performances are very good – I wouldn't expect anything less from the talented Tim Roth. The screenplay is refreshingly low key.
Stranger by the Lake (2013)
Its not about golf but much of the screenplay is about searching for balls in the undergrowth. The screenplay does not go anywhere fast but goes up & down in the same spot. The ending is disappointing – everything goes flat at some stage I suppose.
Final Countdown, The (1980)
The plot idea is okay.rn
To End All Wars (2001)
Without wishing to be disrespectful to those that suffered it doesn't offer much new to justify two hours. Having said that if you prefer to see a drama rather than a documentary about being a POW to the Japanese then this is worthwhile.
