Diplomacy (2014)
Most of the enactment of the drama is limited space–wise so it is a credit to the writing and the two main performers that interest never lags.
Shane (1953)
Van Heflin heads a good cast in this competently made western except I didn't think they needed to write the kid character into the screenplay.- DVD
$19.95 $14.95
Old Man & the Gun, The (The Old Man and the Gun) (2018)
A likeable cast but its all been done before.
Langoliers, The (1995)
It would have been better with an hours less running time and one or two better actors. The plot idea is very good however and it is an incentive to read the book.
King Solomon's Mines (1950)
It is okay, Deborah Kerr is always worth watching, but it is not as good as the 1937 version.- DVD
$19.95 $14.95
Creed II (Creed 2) (2018)
The hits look realistic enough but the screenplay has the usual Boys Own comic feel to it.
Good, the Bad and the Ugly, The (1967)
The three lead castings are very good with Eli Wallach – I am not sure if he was the Bad or the Ugly or both – stealing the show. It has one of the best musical scores and it helps to get you through the overlong screenplay.
Fistful of Dollars, A (1964)
Although the body count gets a bit out of hand the film has an influential lead character, an interesting supporting cast, and a very good musical score. - DVD
$20 $15
Network (1976)
Its satirical message, along with that of Dr. Strangelove, will unfortunately, probably be timeless.
What Maisie Knew (2012)
A good performance from young Maisie as the parcel being passed around the adults.- DVD $29.95
