Aquarius (2016)
Although the screenplay is well written it would be interesting to see whether it would still last out the running time of 140 mins. as well as it does if someone other than Sonia Braga was to play the central character.
No End (Bez konca) (1985)
I suspect one viewing in insufficient to understand the nuances of the plot – then again I might be reading too much into it and there aren't any nuances. Anyway, it is a good solid drama with a good lead performance.
Life of the Party (2018)
It is hard to dislike because Melissa McCarthy is hard to dislike.
Robin Hood (2018)
I'm not sure how they came up with the title but they had to call it something I suppose.
Hang 'em High (1968)
It has some good segments and is worth watching. It also has one of the better support castings in terms of solidity in Pat Hingle, Ed Begley, Bruce Dern et.al.
Who's Harry Crumb? (1989)
A combination of comedy and silliness but the "pairing" of Candy and Jones is hard to resist.
Kodachrome (2017)
It didn't make much of an impression even on Kodachrome.
Widows (2018)
Typically of a caper film, it has several lead characters & the screenplay does well to tie them all in but the downside is that this slows everything down especially when screen time is shared out. The basic plot is okay but not original.
Megan Leavey (Rex) (2017)
There is a lot of barking in this film and not just on the parade ground. The characters probably spend too much time around dogs because they bark at each other. However, the subject of the drama is a worthy one.
Surf's Up (2007)
The characters are delightful and the screenplay well written.
