Swallows and AmazonsSwallows and Amazons (2016)
3 stars (Good Enough) Well produced with the shooting locations a real plus.
Interlude in PragueInterlude in Prague (2017)
3 stars (Good Enough) The screenplay kept getting diverted and not going anywhere at times but the set designs and wardrobe were fine and there was always the music.
Crime SpreeCrime Spree (2003)
3 stars (Good Enough) It has some nice humorous touches and good location shooting.
Human TracesHuman Traces (2017)
2 stars (Good Try) What it does do well is to create a threatening atmosphere – on a remote island there is no way to escape.
Three Colours: RedThree Colours: Red (1994)Recommended
4 stars (Very Good) Two great performances and an excellent screenplay.
Next of KinNext of Kin (1982)
3 stars (Good Enough) Competent horror with the screenplay working most of the time. The house provides good atmospherics especially with the odd thunderstorm & power cut thrown in. The choice of soundtrack was odd & it proved more of a diversion but who cares it was good.
GretaGreta (2018)
2 stars (Good Try) Typical of a Jordan screenplay it starts out very well but doesn't see it through. The excellent casting (including a compulsory appearance from Stephen Rae) however is worth your time.
Near DarkNear Dark (1987)Aro Favourite
4 stars (Very Good) These vampires are believable even if you don't believe in vampires.
Drunken MasterDrunken Master (1978)
3 stars (Good Enough) A window for Jackie Chan's comedic acrobatics.
DVD $20 $15
War PhotographerWar Photographer (2001)Recommended
4 stars (Very Good) The subject has no ego and what backslapping the interviewees do is so low key. Refreshing.
