How to Eat Fried Worms (2006): It does well to stretch things out to an hour and a half.
I Capture the Castle (2003): There are good performances from the two sisters and Bill Nighy. As expected the production values are spot on.
Love Circles (Ronde de l'amour, La) (1985): For most of the film the Wardrobe Department doesn't have much to do.
Vox Lux (2018): Although I couldn't make out what Natalie was saying most of the time I could tell that an effort had been made to produce a screenplay with some differences to the norm.
Bronx Tale, A (1993): The early scenes are the best, particularly the street locations, but for the rest of it, unless Chazz Palminteri is involved, it is disappointing.
Escape, The (2017): It is so easy to make a mess of these dramas, usually through overkill. This one is believable. Gemma is great and so is the camera work on her every day facial expressions and this does away the need for excessive dialogue.
Favourite, The (2018): The screenplay has some humorous touches, most of which work, but the standouts are the set designs and wardrobe. Overall it is good light entertainment.
Eagle Huntress, The (2016): Go Girl! and well done Dad!
Arctic (2018): The Icelandic locations were excellent but the characters leaving the crash site made no sense other than to provide meat to the screenplay and to anything else that was lurking around.
Destroyer (2018): The screenplay doesn't work as well as it might have done but the makeup department do a good job and you know who makes it worth a watch.; DVD $29.95
