Cabaret (1972): Most of the musical numbers were fine but the scenes in between didn't amount to much as both leads were only average and were out performed by the set designs.
Love, Simon (2018): It is a nice film with nice characters.
Death on the Nile (1978): Ustinov and Lansbury are reason alone to watch this but there is also cream in the supporting cast. The production values are excellent.
Pet Sematary (2019): It makes the 1989 version look good.
10 Things I Hate About You (1999): The screenplay strikes the right level of comedy and backs it up with good casting decisions.
Green Book (2018): Its biggest drawback was that everything was so predictable which wouldn't have been so bad if it wasn't so predictable for so long. A commercial offering with a great soundtrack.
Institute, The (2017): It never gets better than the opening credits.
New York Minute (2004): Fans will be satisfied, and for the rest of us, the casting of Eugene Levy helps.
Return to Montauk (2017): Nothing really happens but it is well performed.
Death Wish (2018): Because Bruce Willis is already typecast as the hard man it would have worked better if the mild–mannered Elisabeth Shue had have been the one taking on the role of the revenge seeking killing machine.
