Broken (2018)
It has local appeal but the basic plot is limited to that of the familiar one of father revenge.
Venom (2018)
Although it has the expected high–quality special effects what makes this one different and better is that this comic fantasy has Tom Hardy.
Renoir (2012)
The first two–thirds of the screenplay is excellent but then it loses its way somewhat as its focus shifts away from Renoir Snr. Also, a rainy day or two would have added a bit of variety and realism to the weather.
Nickelodeon (1976)
O'Neal and Reynolds aren't a particularly strong pairing but it is entertaining enough.
Rent (2005)
The screenplay is long but not unusually so for a musical. The tunes aren't that tuneful but are performed energetically.
Festival, The (2018)
As comedy also includes Keaton, Chaplin, Tati, Milligan, Sellers, etc. it shows, that as a genre, it is probably one of the more flexible ones in that it can cater to several levels of talent and several levels of taste.
Hustle, The (2019)
The comedy is forced and borrowed.
Puzzle (2018)
I'm a fan of Kelly but I couldn't respond to the screenplay this time round.
Raid on Rommel (1971)
The screenplay is a bit far fetched plus there is plenty of pyrotechnics which together provide some entertainment.
Camera Buff (Amator) (1979)
The screenplay has dated and lost its impact 40 years on.
