Broken (2018): It has local appeal but the basic plot is limited to that of the familiar one of father revenge.
Venom (2018): Although it has the expected high–quality special effects what makes this one different and better is that this comic fantasy has Tom Hardy.
Renoir (2012): The first two–thirds of the screenplay is excellent but then it loses its way somewhat as its focus shifts away from Renoir Snr. Also, a rainy day or two would have added a bit of variety and realism to the weather.
Nickelodeon (1976): O'Neal and Reynolds aren't a particularly strong pairing but it is entertaining enough.
Rent (2005): The screenplay is long but not unusually so for a musical. The tunes aren't that tuneful but are performed energetically.
Festival, The (2018): As comedy also includes Keaton, Chaplin, Tati, Milligan, Sellers, etc. it shows, that as a genre, it is probably one of the more flexible ones in that it can cater to several levels of talent and several levels of taste.
Hustle, The (2019): The comedy is forced and borrowed.
Puzzle (2018): I'm a fan of Kelly but I couldn't respond to the screenplay this time round.
Raid on Rommel (1971): The screenplay is a bit far fetched plus there is plenty of pyrotechnics which together provide some entertainment.
Camera Buff (Amator) (1979): The screenplay has dated and lost its impact 40 years on.
