Monsters vs Aliens (2009)
It is not great when compared to similar fare but it is entertaining enough.
Missouri Breaks, The (1976)
Although the screenplay doesn't go anywhere fast it has its good points when it achieves realism. There is also a good soundtrack and Randy Quaid's hat.
Grease (1977)
The tunes are tuneful, the dancing energetic, there are some delightful cameos (Eve Arden et.al) which don't hold up the story and the support casting, headed by Stockard Channing, is spot on.
Peace, Love & Misunderstanding (2011)
An attractive female cast but it is familiar and predictable.- Blu-Ray $34.95
Meg, The (2018)
It is not a waste of time as there are a couple of scenes really well done and overall it doesn't take itself too seriously. Statham, as usual, looks very comfortable on camera and can do these bread and butter parts in his sleep.
King of Thieves (2018)
Whilst the screenplay was familiar, and nothing special, the film offered a great chance to compare some of Britain's cream in male acting talent. Tom Courtenay's performance for me came out ahead and made the watch worthwhile.
Shazam! (2019)
The casting of Mark Strong helps but the screenplay, whilst okay, has come at the wrong time as it has been preceded by several other comic character adventures.
Mega Time Squad (2018)
Whilst it doesn't maintain the appeal of its early scenes it is not too long and is worth seeing through.
Animals United (2010)
The meerkat is terrific and there is nothing wrong with the message in the screenplay.
Basic Instinct (1992)
It starts off quite well, and although there are some good segments throughout, the screenplay is easily sidetracked and longer than it needed to be.
