A young chap seeks out encounters with other young chaps or anything else that comes to hand. The key for the viewer is to what extent you can sympathise with his character.
The two leads are fine and they are complemented by some scene–stealing from William Richert. Although the screenplay doesn't match its early scenes it is kept alive by some interesting characters and photography.
Its anti–alcoholic message is a plus and there is nothing soppy about the romance. The bar scenes are particularly well handled and the continuous soundtrack is also a positive.
We have all had bad days so we can easily empathise with Regina Hall's character. Her performance is spot on and the other characters help her or more often than not don't help her get through the day.
