ArrivalArrival (2016)Aro Favourite
4 stars (Very Good) Amy Adams gives a good enough performance, but Jeremy Renner is grating and wooden. However, the sound design is absolutely phenomenal, and the film takes a fascinating stance on how we view language. The aliens are great too.

1 star (Turkey) Wooden acting, wooden dialog, and an awful lot of wooden furniture (no really). I don't really see the point of the film. Avoid.

4 stars (Very Good) Effects–laden genre classic. Combs and Crampton really outdo themselves.
Swarm, TheSwarm, The (1978)
1 star (Turkey) Bzzzarre film amongst a swarm of 70's disaster movies. Scared me as a kid, but now it seems terribly silly.
