Following (1999): A good core story told in a very uncompelling way. Lacklustre performances, too harsh black and white. Though Christopher Nolan's trademark storytelling is evident.
Malignant (2021): Went in blind and loved every minute.
Little Monsters (2019): This was fun. Lovely performances from the child actors. Those that don't like kids may want to avoid.
And Soon the Darkness (1970): Sometimes less is more and this is one of those times. Overall very enjoyable film.
Blob, The (1988): Has everything you could want in a horror sci fi. The effects are great.
February (The Blackcoat's Daughter) (2015): Intriguing and dark character piece, I thoroughly enjoyed this.
Jacob's Ladder (1990): More like slow 90s drama than suspense; Blu-Ray $29.95
Dogtooth (Kynodontas) (2009): Idiosyncratic and uncomfortable viewing
Grey Gardens (1976): Gather up ur cats & watch this racoon–on–the–wall documentary. You'll see here: Faded old world glamour; Hampton hijinks; Ms Havisham in the Hamptons? Recommended foods 2 eat while watching: corn 4 dinner followed by ice cream.
Holy Motors (2012): Ah the rich and their follies.rnrnThis film made me very aware of myself as part of the film process. I was watching the film. The creators knew this and I could feel their gaze.
