Brothers Bloom, The (2008)
There are some reasonable attempts at humour in which the two female leads are the more successful. The screenplay runs out of steam more than once before coming to life again and maybe needed better writing/editing.
Figures in a Landscape (1970)
The opening scenes are the best after which the screenplay as well as the characters lose their way. Having said that it is a film that you are more likely to remember than a million others not least because of the stunning filming of the landscape.
Mean Streets (1973)
Harvey K, as one of the suits, does well and anchors the storyline but it is the location shooting in the streets that stands out.
Cardinal, The (1963)
The production values help ease the pain of the long running time. The opulence of the church's abode and other odds and ends can be admired.
Female Yakuza Tale (Yasagure anego den: sôkatsu rinchi) (1973)
The female characters are heavily exploited but at least there is some measure of comeback in this one.
Jock the Hero Dog (2011)
A reasonable story and animation.
Osbournes, The (TV Series) (2002)
S1: It should find an audience.
Spirits of the Air (1989)
Unsurprisingly it was made in Aussie.
Ailo's Journey (A Reindeer's Journey) (2018)
Although the documentary follows formula Lapland has certain natural advantages for the documentary maker to exploit.
Legend of Boggy Creek, The (1972)
50 years on it is more of a curiosity piece but it is still (and perhaps deserves) worth a watch. It does create an eerie atmosphere at times.
