I Am Alfred Hitchcock (2021)
The biggest drawback with this documentary is that he is one director whose story has been told before but it is no problem viewing another version – especially the archival footage.
Lamb (2021)
Their sheepdog looked confused.
Eleni (1985)
A fine performance from Kate Nelligan highlights this historical drama which may be the impetus for further reading for those of us who have forgotten about this particular civil war.
Forgiveness of Blood, The (2011)
It is about an old law of blood feud which unfortunately seems to be operated by men. Sindi Lacej is terrific as the daughter as are the rural settings and the horse and cart.
Circle, The (2017)
It doesn't go anywhere.
1 Nite (2004)
It might have some appeal to locals.
La Ceremonie (Judgement in Stone, A) (1995)
Nothing wrong with Sandrine B's performance but the film's energy level went up when Isabelle arrived on the scene. The screenplay was mostly okay except the final scenes were a bit weak.
Julien Donkey-Boy (1999)
This passed the Dogme 95 test – say no more.
Day Watch (Dnevnoi Dozor, Daywatch) (2006)
Helter Skelter.
One Against the Wind (1991)
A solid screenplay anchored and highlighted by a Judy Davis performance.
