Judy & Punch (Judy and Punch) (2018)
It starts out really well but loses its momentum. A shorter screenplay might have worked better. It is well worth a watch, however. The set designs, wardrobe, and hairdos were spot on.- DVD $29.95
Biggest Little Farm, The (2019)
It is a relaxing watch but it doesn't cover much new ground.
Cast Away (2000)
The running time is a long two and a quarter hours – as a viewer who would you like to spend most of that time alone with(?)
All Night Long (Die Heisse Nacht) (1961)
Whilst the screenplay was a bit hit and miss the jazz segments, particularly because of the personnel, were worthy of attention.
Slaughterhouse Five (1972)
One of the great anti–war novels could not have been easy to transfer to the screen but although they have done an admirable job the book is still markedly superior.
Young Sherlock Holmes and the Pyramid of Fear (1985)
One thing that is worse than a smart arse is a young smart arse.
Dracula Has Risen from the Grave (1968)
When Christopher Lee (I mean Dracula) is in a scene interest levels rise considerably.
Temple Grandin (2010)
10/10 for Claire Danes and her supporting cast are also excellent. The screenplay is remarkably level–headed. Temple Grandin's story and achievements deserve to be told.
Madagascar 2: Escape to Africa (2008)
The characters have genuine character and have been drawn delightfully.
Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy (2011)
For the most part, the editor did extremely well to keep tabs on a myriad of characters, including flashbacks, and still tell a never straight forward story comprehensively. Oh, and the casting wasn't too bad.
