Piano Teacher, The (2001)
Nothing But The Truth (2008): 3/5 – Brilliant subject, even if given a bit simplistic treatment. Good reminder at a time when investigative journalism is under fire.

Babylon Berlin (TV Series) (2017): 3/5 – Good time travel in Germany 30's. Vice and police suspense/crime story with a lot of surprises, The communist push in Berlin adds an interesting background
Anything for Her (Pour Elle) (2008): 3/5
Capharnaum (2018): 2.5/5 – Yes there is also illegal immigration out of Europe/USA, with it's cortege of misery and immigration smugglers. While religion is kept out, the socio–cultural differences are a shock. Tenderness makes a good balance; DVD $29.95
A Touch of Sin (2013): 3/5 – Original title: Tian zhu ding (Destiny). – Interesting peek on modern China life – Pessimistic with some hope, but definitively not the Party's propaganda book, which makes it valuable to see.
Downfall (Der Untergang) (2004): 3/5 – Original title: "Der Untergang" – Very well done movie, good casting with Ganz on the top. Instructive.
Nobody (2021): 3/5 – a bit overdone but fun to watch.
Insomnia (2002): 3/5 – Fair remake of the Scandinavian Insomnia (1997) for American spectators. Pacino and Swank excellent as usual.
