Separation, A (2011): Despite easy on the eye photography & an excellent performance from Bayat the screenplay mainly comprises people finger pointing & arguing. The children provide some relief but the adults interactions soon get repetitive & should have been cut by an hour.
Saw IV (Saw 4) (2007): The only reason I can think of why this sequel was made was that IV rhymes with Saw.
Humans (TV Series) (2015-2018): S1: The screenplay becomes too obvious pretty early in the proceedings.
Hereafter (2010): Well done to the special effects team for the opening tsunami. After that, it never really came back to life, particularly with Damon at his somnolent best.
Belfast (2021): There is a mountain of news footage on the Troubles that has been shown publicly plus documentaries and dramatisations. Leave the Troubles alone to heal with time.
Transformers - Revenge Of The Fallen (Transformers 2) (2009): A challenge to get through – its excessive length was only one of the problems.
Sahara (1943): Although the screenplay is a bit simplistic the action sequences are handled quite well.
Capital in the Twenty-First Century (2019): A comprehensive economic history of why we are where we are today as part of the 99%. Great use of archival film and quality analysis and views from the experts with author Piketty the standout.
Pervert's Guide to Ideology, The (2013): An intelligent "dissertation" that is always entertaining and which makes use of a variety of film stock.
Copycat (1996): The screenplay is uneven but the talents of Weaver and Hunter make it watchable.
