Columbo (TV Series) (1971-2003)
S1: Very well written episodes and all are aided by some great guest casting.
Rebellion (TV Series) (2016)
S1: It looks like a serious attempt to recreate the events to a reasonable degree of accuracy. The period's details are well catered to and the casting of the arrogant British Officers is sublime.rnrn- DVD $29.95, $34.95
Blue Thunder (1983)
The helicopter stunt flying is really the only redeemable feature.- DVD $14.95 | Blu-Ray $24.95
Man from Snowy River 2, The (1988)
For some reason, Jack Thompson is not in this but Tony Barry is.
Man from Snowy River , The (1981)
Not sure which one was the man from Snowy River but Sigrid Thornton was fine, Jack Thompson as expected was in it but the highlight was the panoramas.- DVD
$24.95 $18.70
Christmas Story, A (1983)
A rarity – a Christmas film that can be recommended.
Moneyball (2011)
Pitt is good in this one – in turn the screenplay is more intelligent than a lot of sports dramas. It is long but worth it.
Ladies Who Do (1963)
It is sexist in a 60's kind of way but extremely well written. There is a good male cast led by Morley and Corbett but they are on the second rank with Peggy, Dandy and the girls to the fore.
Joyeux Noel (Merry Christmas) (2005)
Well produced but some of the front–line antics are over staged and unintentionally comical. To its credit however it is anti–war and therefore hard to dislike.
Defiant Ones, The (1958)
"You can't lynch me I'm white". Well written and performed – loved the strong and hard bitten supporting cast of Claude Akins, Theodore Bikel, Charles McGraw, and Lon Chaney.- DVD
$15 $11.25
