Metropolitan (1989)
It is heavy on dialogue and dialogue that is not of any importance or even of the slightest interest to the rest of us.
An American Werewolf in London (1981)
Admittedly "An American Werewolf in America" wouldn't have the same ring to it but having it located in London was a masterstroke as it enabled a good supporting cast of British actors to be used. The screenplay weakens but it does have some highpoints
Drug War (2012)
It was okay but its ingredients were no different from many other crime dramas from this part of the world.
Safe Spaces (After Class) (2019)
It will find an audience but for me, characters that talk incessantly are a real turn off.
Phil Spector (2013)
Although the Spector character was hard work to look at and to listen to the screenplay wasn't without its interesting moments.
Ragtime (1981)
Terrific set designs and wardrobe but the screenplay would have benefited from being more compact. If not more compact then shorter would have done. Kenneth McMillan is the standout for me.
Shooting Fish (1997)
They should have left the fish alone and shot the young males instead.
Calcium Kid, The (2004)
Although it weakens the further it progresses it is hard to dislike.
Don't Tell Mom the Babysitter's Dead (1991)
At no stage does it reach great heights but the kids aren't annoying which in my book is some achievement.
Lassie (1994)
Although the boy kid is a bit annoying Lassie continues to be good family entertainment as she has since the 1940s.
