Whilst the dramatisation concentrates on the McMillian case hopefully it will be a spur for further reading into the achievements of Bryan Stevenson as a social justice activist.
I suspect it is a film that will stand up to repeat viewing mainly because the good bits are very good (that is Irish) and the other bits will become more appreciated.
There were some aspects relating to local customs that were interesting but the bulk of the screenplay – the criminal activity – was routine and wasn't specific to Colombia but could be found in many other countries.
