A Man in a Hurry (Un homme pressé) (2018): The first half is not too bad with some clever work with the scriptwriting but it all gets a bit too commercial after that.
Nim's Island (2008): Solid family entertainment with Abigail Breslin in acting terms very mature for her age. Jodie helps by not cramping her space.
Island, The (2005): The first hour is pure sci–fi and better than the second when the action gradually takes over but although the action is well done it goes on for far too long. Buscemi steals his scenes.
Van Wilder - Party Liason (2001): It has to resort to toilet humour and the anatomy of a dog for laughs.
Brassed Off (1997): It has more than its share of cringe worthy moments but particularly in its first half, there is some wonderful verbal sparring to complement brass banding at its best.
Gallants (2010): A light and refreshing change from the countless other martial arts movies.
Mr. Morgan's Last Love (Last Love) (2013): I know Michael won't be able to play Alfie again but this is taking things a bit too far.
Swimming Upstream (2002): Whatever shortcomings it has at the helm is two of Australia's finest and the screenplay to its credit does not shirk from portraying the rough edges of the characters.
Antichrist (2009): Another tough day at the office for Charlotte. The screenplay was reasonably interesting until the couple had their domestic.
Separation City (2009): Although the characters are recognisable they are a waste of space.; DVD ~~$19.95~~ $14.95
