À Nos Amours (To Our Loves) (1983): There is not a great deal of depth to either the characters or the screenplay. However considering her age, a very young Sandrine does well in anchoring the film.
Escape from Mogadishu (2021): There have been a few of these escape from type of dramas – this one follows the formula pretty much.; DVD $29.95
Crazy for You (Vision Quest) (1985): The wrestling angle was reasonably fresh but appropriately the screenplay never really got off the ground.
April Fool's Day (1986): A little bit different plot wise than the norm for the genre plus it has some genuine horror moments.
Cat People (1982): It is too long for the material. There are some genuine cult segments however and Malcolm McDowell can never be boring.
Tokyo Drifter (1966): The plot is very familiar but the production has that kind of charm associated with films made cheaply but creatively.
Amazon Women On the Moon (1987): Cheesy but genuine cult cinema.
Hoax, The (2006): The drama is diluted somewhat by the fact that the story and its ending is well known but it is interesting nevertheless and the support casting is above average.
Life, Above All (2011): The straightforward storytelling helps convey the messages, particularly through a young daughter who has had to grow up quickly and a life weary mother.; DVD ~~$19.95~~ $14.95
County, The (2020): The screenplay was okay but at no stage did it break new ground.; DVD $29.95
