Aroview: The first and best version of Ira Levin's (ROSEMARY'S BABY) early novel, in which status-anxious student Wagner plots the murder of his pregnant girlfriend. Chilling portrayal of a handsome psycho and his coolly enacted scheme is a nicely subversive slice of Hollywood.

3 stars (Good Enough) The screenplay is unconvincing but there is a couple of moments of genuine suspense (50's style). Hunter looks ridiculous in glasses with a pipe so there is some comedy. The photography and the colour selection is very easy on the eye.~tubbs
