Aroview: Aided by much of the same cast from his small-town character-driven satire, WAITING FOR GUFFMAN, dir. Christopher Guest applies his improvisational methods to the rarefied, and inherently funny, world of dog shows.
The softer target and now familiar formula means it’s less ambitious and satisfying than its cult predecessor, but its probably more accessible and there are at least as many wry comic vignettes and great characters/performances to be relished.
