Get Carter

Aroview: Unnecessary remake of the British hard-boiler transposes the action to the Pacific Northwest where Las Vegas mob enforcer Sylvester Stallone travels to investigate/avenge the death of his brother.

The trail of sleaze (incl. Rachael Leigh Cook, Mickey Rourke and original 'Carter', Michael Caine) eventually leads to a Seattle computer billionaire (Alan Cumming). Replicates the gloomy tone of the original, but is more upscale with fashionable trimmings, and then there's that 'casting issue'.
