Synopsis: Four-part British crime drama series based on the novel by Ann Cleves. Detective Inspector Matthew Penn left his hometown in coastal Devon years ago, partly due to the homophobia he experienced - when he returns with his husband in the present day, he is drawn into the investigation of a local murder.
