The film includes the voices of every key member of The Next Day band, as well as the Blackstar band and the creative team behind Lazarus. The picture that emerges is of an artist who was far more consistent in his themes and influences that most interpretations of his career have presented, with spirituality, alienation and fame recurring motifs to be found throughout his entire oeuvre.
