“It might not be especially cinematic, but it is profound in its simplicity and truthfulness about what real fights sound like and what real lives look like.”~Associated Press
Aroview: Claire Danes and Jim Parsons play a Brooklyn couple who are forced to rethink their roles as parents and spouses when their four-year-old son exhibits a preference for fairy-tale princesses over toy cars, and are told that it may be more than a phase.
Though criticised for its lack of focus on the kid called 'Jake' himself, it is directed with sensitivity by Silas Howard, who himself is trans.
